The tide of the soul explores the traditional slip casting technique in a new light. This series of works have been permanently collected by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute. The series of works were created through multi-layer slip casting. Traditionally, the slip casting technique is used in mass production, which consists of the interaction between clay and plaster. In this project, the coloured slip has been poured into plaster moulds layer by layer, and with one track after another, the making is the embodiment of the presence of time.
